- The 2.2 diesel makes 172 bhp and 370 Nm and still returns a usable 13–14 km/l on a highway run.
- Highway ride and stability are in a different league from any monocoque SUV at the price.
- Five-star adult protection on a ladder-frame body, which was not a given.
- Genuine seven-seat usability with the third row up, unlike most "7-seaters" in this bracket.
Things to weigh up
- City fuel economy in the low double digits, and the petrol is worse — plan for ₹9–11 per km on urban duty.
- 4,662 mm long and 1,917 mm wide: it will not fit a standard 4.5 m stack-parking bay, and Mumbai buyers should measure first.
- Base Z2 and Z4 trims still ship with two airbags and no ESC, which is indefensible in 2026.
- Waiting periods have been long enough that resale on a delivered car sometimes exceeds list.
