Your everyday drive
Try the parking manoeuvre you make every day. Check visibility, steering effort and how easily you can get in and out.

Make charging fit
Before choosing an EV, check where you would plug in, who approves installation and what your regular trips require.

- 01
Set the whole budget
Ask for an itemised purchase quote. Keep the vehicle price, taxes, insurance, accessories and any finance terms visible as separate lines. Decide what you want before accepting a bundled package.
- 02
Try your real load
Bring the bags, stroller or child seat you normally carry. Adjust the driver’s seat first, then try the seats behind it. Open the doors in a space similar to your parking spot.
- 03
Drive the exact version
An automatic test car cannot tell you how the manual feels. Ask for the engine and gearbox you plan to buy, and include traffic, a parking manoeuvre and a rough stretch on your test route.
- 04
Check the evidence
Read the specification date and trim notes. Ask the dealer to identify the model year and included equipment in writing. Treat a photograph as an illustration, not an equipment list.
Turn your notes into a shortlist
Keep two or three contenders and write down the compromises you can live with. Use the directory for model discovery and the detailed comparison tool where variant data is available.
SUV buying questions, answered
Where should I start when choosing an SUV?
Start with your actual journeys: who travels with you, where you park, how much luggage you carry and how you would refuel or charge. Then compare exact variants within your total purchase budget.
How do I compare two SUVs fairly?
Compare the exact engine, gearbox and trim you would buy. Read the source date for each price and specification, and test both cars on a similar route. A top-trim photograph does not establish what is included in the base model.
What should I check in a seven-seat SUV?
Try every row with the people who will use it. Check access to the rear seats, space behind your normal driving position, ventilation and luggage room with all the seats in use. Bring your child seat and everyday bags to the showroom.
What does an unverified specification mean?
It means SUVDekho has not yet confirmed that detail from an appropriate source. It does not mean the feature is absent. Use the linked manufacturer information and confirm the exact variant before booking.
